Clinical Biochemistry

Clinical Biochemistry is the study of the different chemical substances in various body fluids such as urine and blood for the diagnosis of disease and monitoring of treatment. Various metabolic diseases such as renal failure, diabetes mellitus, gout, myocardial infarction (heart attack), pancreatitis, iron deficiency anaemia and high blood cholesterol are diagnosed through the use of different biochemical tests.
